Hello, my name is Sherileen.
Ever since I was a child I have wanted to become a nurse or doctor just like my aunts and uncles. I am a registered nurse oversees and I have worked in a dialysis/renal environment. I am currently a 2nd year nursing student at the University of South Australia, I want to be able to practice nursing, what I love doing, in Australia. Currently I have a Certificate III in Aged Care and I am really fond of meeting people, working with them and to the best of my ability, helping them to meet their needs.
I have worked in an aged care here in Adelaide and have learned a lot from the experience. Different people have their own needs all requiring special attention and care. I listen to people to find out what their needs are and how to provide care in a way that is respectful and is what they require. I like to get to know customers not just for the sake of working routine but being able to improve my ways of helping and making sure that what I do makes a real difference, this is very important to me.
I am the eldest among 4 siblings. I am fluent in both English and Filipino. I have a dog named Red, he is in the Philippines, and I used to have a cat named Garfield for 9 ½ years before that. I consistently seek new challenges and believe that there can be no substitution for smart, resourceful, and hard work. I like working with people nurturing my individuality and in turn their individuality as a whole. My passion is to help and care for others.
